A couple gets stranded miles from shore in shark-infested waters. Wrong headcount ensures they are not missed anywhere. They drift in open waters and find themselves out of options. Supposedly based on a real story,this real life survival horror film gives the feel of a documentary.
There are some moments when the camera comes alive, otherwise the footage seems contrived. If it happened once, it can happen again, yet I did not get hooked to the action.There is some sort of genuineness introduced by camera angles and dialogues,yet it ultimately does not work for me.
Open Water seems like a safe bet worth skipping !
