Prosenjit plays Julius Caesar , Jisshu Sengupta Cassius,
Kaushik Sen Brutus, Dev Mark Antony and Nusrat Jahan Cleopatra. This is Srijit’s
concession to his own Shakespearean vanity. Parambrata Chatterjee plays an
English –speaking, guitar-carrying gangster, and Ankush also plays a Don. The
film is based on Syndicate , which works in the port area and how doesn’t allow
any one among them to grow too big. The film fails to work because it is a tad
too packed, Parambrata overacts and script is shallow.
This must be Srijit’s weakest film I have yet seen, and I have
watched 13 out of the 16 he has helmed.
