Agni is a film about fire-fighters. Based in Mumbai, this team of Parel desperadoes take on life-threatening challenges everyday, save lives and lose comrades, all without fuss or public acclaim.
"He saved 7 lives in that fire. Did anyone out of those 7 or their near and dear ones turn up for his funeral when he died on burns sustained after a week." In a rather overdone trope, the son of a hotshot fire-fighter worships his mama more than his father.
Pratik Gandhi as the chief of Parel fire station and Divyendu as a supercop are jija-sala but not on best of terms. They are forced to team up to unravel the mystery behind high intensity fires across the metropolis. Both the actors have given good performances. Divyendu has damn good comic timing but has never received his due. This is a watchable film, but do not expect something like Josh Brolin's Only the Brave (2017).
