Wolf Totem 2015

Give it to the man, JJ, he is a genius with them animals.
The Bear and Two Brothers are two of the finest animal films I have seen. After bear and tigers, Anaud decides to break into the world of wolves.
Visual magic with oodles of love for wildlife poured through silver screen is enough to leave you spellbound wishing for more.
Wolf Totem is a Chinese film which transports us to the
Northern Steppes of Inner Mongolia where rapine hands of the Communist China finally
reached in 1967 as part of the deadly Cultural Revolution. The narrative focuses
upon Mongol grasslands, wolves, some great conflict sequences, man's folly in
dealing with environment and the people. The film is based upon a semi-autobiographical novel written by Jiang Rhong.
Watch Wolf Totem for the love of wolves.
Watch it for astounding cinematography.
J J ANAUD has also directed Seven Years In Tibet, Enemy at the Gates, The Name
of the Rose and Black and White In Colour, all of which I consider great films.
