Pulwama is featured, as is Balakot. Abhinandan is not exactly present, but the scenario is copied.
Air Dragons, an elite IAF unit, run by Anil Kapoor, and comprising of Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Oberoi, Karan Singh Grover and others takes on the Pakistani challenge. You cannot like the graphics of this film, they come across as so dull. As for botox-undergone faces of Roshan and company, everything seems so plastic it sucks.
Why could they not have opted for an original story?
What was the need to kill Bashir (Oberoi) if they were copying the Balakot scenario?
This is just so damn stupid, one feels irritated with Anand and Roshan and the gang.
Anil Kapoor is the saving grace of the film. He is so into it that ends up providing some seriousness to otherwise make-believe world.
Also, why can't we show some kind of passion between the actors and actresses? Some kind of chemistry won't hurt the cause, I am sure. There is simply no connect here.
Fighter is watchable, avoidable, eminently forgettable. What a waste!
