The MAGIC Christian - Everyone has their Price

 THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN 1969

Peter Sellers plays Sir Guy Grand, a very rich man, and he adopts a homeless derelict, Youngman, played by Ringo Starr. Grand sets out to teach his son and heir the power of money, whereby everyone has a price and anyone can be made to dance to its tunes. Together the duo play practical jokes upon at many places that involve shit, nudity and slapstick. The film is meant to be a satire on human vanity, capitalism, consumerism and greed. But it is a bit too loud to make a lasting or worthwhile impression. That said, Peter Sellers is never off mark. The man always delivers knockout punches.
