BHOOT - Hold-on-to-your-Seat Horror

 BHOOT 2003

There is a bhatakti atma, whose bhoot messes up with Urmila's head. Motive is revenge. Ajay Devgn, who plays the husband, keeps tries to get logical, but quickly gives up his pretensions once he is up against the wall. Victor Banerjee plays a psychiatrist, Nana Patekar a cop, Seema Biswas a maid and Rekha an exorcist. There are some genuinely scary moments in the film. Camera angles and POV do work. But after a point it all becomes a big, bad joke. Urmila is just too good, but the film could have had been a tad tighter and scarier.

A good watch, nevertheless.
