Martin Scorsese discusses Elia Kazan's oeuvre, his life and influences.
The auteur was the director of On The Waterfront, A Streetcar Named Desire, America America, East of Eden, Boomerang, California by the Sea, Wild River and A Face in the Crowd. He had joined Communist Party in 1934, and later in 1952, turned witness and named several of his colleagues. He won two Oscars for Best Director- Gentleman's Agreement and On the Waterfront.
This is a well-made documentary, one worth spending time over.
