Clint Eastwood tells the story of the deadliest marksman in the history of the US. The film focusses on the withdrawal faced by veterans, and how war affects them.
Bradley Cooper is fabulous as Chris Kyle. Siena Miller has done a good job as well. American Sniper was nominated for Best Picture and Best Actor Oscars.
This is a good war film on Iraq with beautifully shot war scenes, but could not surpass The Hurt Locker, in my opinion. And yet, Cooper has given a magnificent performance here.
