YSR was a
phenomenon. It goes to the credit of the filmmakers as well as Mammootty that
they have managed to capture the charisma well. YSR was a
toughie, who grew into the Leader that he was as he met millions of locals
during his padayatra.
Sachin
Khedekar has managed to portray a totally helpless picture of Ghulam Nabi Azad.
KVP Ramchandra Rao and YSR’s father, Raja Reddy also feature prominently in this biopic.
The film
could have easily degenerated into a hagiography but retains its cinematic
quality throughout. Watch it for YSR and Mammootty!
