What does Shahid Kapoor bring to any project? He overacts, is self-smitten, has the body language of an entitled south Bombay kid and does not quite get 'it'. Besides Kaminey, Haider and Kabir Singh, I have always found him insufferable. Vishal Bhardwaj seems to have completely lost his storytelling skills. The film starts badly and bores from the word 'go'.
Triptii Dimri is very average, whereas Nana Patekar is just there for the sake of it. Avinash Tiwari also makes a mess of it. Vikrant Massey and Tammanaah Bhatia have also disappointed. All in all, this is a film for which Vishal should apologize. Shahid, of course, does not care. He shall keep getting work.
