Citizen Vigilante 2026

An American ex-Army officer returns to his European roots to take care of his inheritance. He realizes that the home continent is not just facing a massive cultural invasion by unchecked hoards of immigrants, but life has actually become quite insecure on streets and in neighbourhoods. Stabbings, squatting, freeloading, molestation, grooming, gang rapes, lone wolf attacks, beheadings, honour killings, anti-Semitic violence and jihadist activities have become the order of the day. This huge spate in violence is a direct result of the cultural contempt that the incoming Arab Muslims harbour towards European values and life choices. They consider European systems and Europeans as weak, accommodating, and hence, their women and children as fair game and war booties. Deep inside, the Africans and West Asian Muslims are convinced that they are out to conquer and Islamize Europe and that it is their historical mandate.
These ungrateful, unruly, stubborn immigrants zealously guard their own tribal lifestyles reflecting medieval values and refuse to assimilate with the welcoming locals. For all their small and big problems, they blame the residents and resent their prosperity. Their heinous crimes are condoned on daily basis by the leftist woke Establishment, that is, the media and the academia. Quislings in political class, judiciary, and law enforcement appease these vicious criminals, coming up with ingenuous theories like ‘assimilation trauma’, ‘cultural inferiority complex’, ‘mental instability’, ‘war stress’, ‘migration blues’ and what not to explain the increasing violence. Liberal judges have often acquitted self-confessed rapists citing such lame excuses dubbing them as ‘victims’ of the system and not perpetrators of some ghastly crime. Citizen Vigilante (2026) is based upon one such incident that had occurred in Hamburg in 2016. The rapists of a 14-year-old German girl had walked free with suspended sentences in this case.
Stabbers, hooligans, freeloaders, pickpockets and molesters are let off by the police with mild warnings that sound like Christmas carols. Governments have empowered squatters with the right to own empty flats through adverse possession. Many governments resort to ‘requisition’ of empty flats to house teeming immigrants. France and Germany see large scale street violence after every important football game. A large percentage of welfare is spent upon immigrants from Islamic countries who make judicious use of the family clause to call in their spouses and near relations to the host country thereby multiplying the size of the ghetto. Forget about the locals, not even cops are safe inside these no-go-areas.
Bruce Bawer’s While Europe Slept, published in 2006, had argued that Europe’s open society, democracy and socio-cultural values face huge existential threat from the onslaught of radical, intolerant Islam which is relentless and takes no prisoners. The incoming droves of legal and illegal migrants bring with them their Shariat-mindset and refuse to assimilate with the locals. Bawer’s central argument was that European passivity in the name of religious tolerance did not promote either assimilation or integration and was rather unsuccessful in contrast to the robust American tradition of proudly asserting their lifestyle and values and expecting the immigrants to adopt them. The pace of immigration has since increased manifold owing to wars and repression. Radical Islamists and woke left have already affected a ‘bloodless takeover of Europe’. But it has turned out to be an unfriendly, violent, hateful takeover, one which has left women and children particularly vulnerable.
Citizen Vigilante is, by no stretch, not a great work of art. But it is an important film, an essential work. Like someone needs to take the extremist bull by its horns and tackle it till the people learn to stand up for themselves, a film was needed to thrust the ‘death of European life’ into public discourse. The authorities have hit back viciously. The film was not given age-related ratings, as a result of which it cannot be screened in theaters or at festivals, advertised or even sold at stores. Elon Musk, the global right-wing messiah, then platformed it for two days on X, thereby viralling it. Special appreciation is due towards Armie Hammer, a mainstream Hollywood actor, for ‘daring’ to work this film. His black-robed avatar with steely-eyes and clenched jaws makes for a perfect Vigilante Citizen, a superhero with grey shades, who, therefore, inspires confidence.
Mr. Vigilante is forceful when he explains to a bunch of idling youngsters that ‘actions have consequences’ and that freeloading by some increases the costs for others. He is brutal when he breaks their limbs to teach them a lesson in civil conduct. Hammer comes alive when he fires back at the cops from a bunker and outwits the Interpol chief. He is meanness reincarnated while collecting rents, safeguarding his property and dealing with his company CEO. The vigilante clinically injects and abducts a judge, driving him around, informing him of his appeasing instincts before slashing his wrists. When he decides to avenge a gang-rape victim, he breaks into the house of the perp, calls him out and his family for saying that the girl ‘wanted’ it and not expressing even a shred of regret before or after the trial. His sister had even suggested that the victim ‘deserved’ her fate for dressing skimpily and behaving inappropriately. When the Vigilante asks the father for imparting bad values to his kids, the latter concedes that they only followed the teachings of the Book. Thereafter the Vigilante Citizen shoots them one after the other in cold blood, followed by other rapists. I ended up loudly cheering every time Hammer took law in his own hands in the service of justice. For far too long has this nonsense gone unpunished.
Michael Houllebecq’s Soumission (Submission) was published in 2015. He had predicted that a Muslim party upholding Islamist patriarchal values is able to win French Presidential elections in 2022 with the support of the Socialist Party, and the next one, on its own strength. It is not that European decision-makers and intellectuals do not understand the inherent danger in playing this zero-sum game, but the question is when do they realize that the economic benefits of accepting droves of migrants are far outweighed by socio-cultural and political costs? Until that happens, everyone must look out for his or her interest, stop giving benefit of doubt, go full hog in securing themselves and be relentless in securing justice whenever any crime is committed.
