Nicole Kidman is a hotshot CEO and happily married to Antonio Banderas but she risks all that to have a sort of forbidden affair with an intern. There is desperation in Nicole, whereas the intern is too cocky to be convincing. Nevertheless, the film works because the cast believes in whatever is happening on the couch and in the characters' lives. The film is about female masochism, and that's its USP. Could it have been hotter? Oh, yes. Can it be seen as a sex movie? Maybe.
