Vidu, the hero, comes across as poor man's Dhanush. Ha ha ha. That is some way of putting it. Preethi Asrani can act but not inspire. There is some chemistry, but sparks do not fly. 29 is a damn squib out and out. The boy is aware of being a loser when a younger, beautiful girl walks into his life. She wants him to achieve something for himself as she herself wants to become an IAS. A possessive, unfulfilling love story is the result. 29 is not boring but never soars. It does nothing to your brain cells or heart strings!
