Firstly, Ashley Judd was an amazing beauty. It was difficult to move eyes away from her and focus on the mystery at hand. Secondly, Andy Garcia was as handsome as Bobby DeNiro in his prime but tried to copy Al Pacino instead. That was not a very smart thing to do. Thirdly, if Samuel Jackson is present in a film, he would leave a lasting impression.
Twisted is not a very absorbing thriller. That said, it does have stylistic elements in Kaufman's trademark style. This film about cops and killers follows predictable lines but is not a bad watch considering the cast and good and the screen gets enlivened by Judd's presence in almost every scene.
