Leslie Nielsen was the original Lt Frank Drebin, the incompetent cop of LAPD, the face of The Naked Gun and Police Squad TV series and films. By a quirky coincidence, Liam Neeson with the same initials has been cast in the latest film, and needless to say, it works. Liam is hot property anyways. He has a loyal fan following. His personality, deep baritone and body of work go well with the image too. The Naked Gun is a foolish kind of a film which works because of Liam Neeson. Rest all is baloney.
