Adrien Brody holds a doctorate in Jewish Holocaust- survival films. This is another of those sagas of survival. A Jewish family is caught in the fires of Revolutionary Iran. They sign away everything they have for their safety and well-being and leave Iran through the Turkish border. Salma Hayek has done a decent job as Brody's wife. But the film must be seen for Brody's intensity, especially when he is in custody. The film tries to balance both sides of the argument, but it is obvious where its sympathies lie.
