Kevin, an 8-year-old, gets left behind when his extended family leaves for Paris during X'mas holidays. Parents realize it far too late, only when they are in the flight. Even after reaching Paris, it is not too easy to come back. Meanwhile, Joe Pesci and another crook find out that Kevin is alone in the house. 


Kevin, not one to be afraid, fights back, and turns away the crooks. Joe Pesci is hilarious, just the right-flavoured crook one needs to bang on a Christmas holiday. Macaulay Culkin, the child actor playing Kevin, has done a wonderful job too. Home Alone's beauty lies in its simplicity. The film somehow still works for me.
