The Bypass 2003

Not a word is spoken by anyone in this 16-minutes long tense film full of violence. A newly-wed couple fooling around on the front seats of their car, accidently takes the wrong turn at a bypass where Nawaz and his friend lie in wait with boulders in their hands to attack the passers-by. They hit the target and then pounce upon the injured to loot and kill them.
Upon overhearing the arrival of a cop on a bike, they hide behind a hill and then rush to a nearby dhaba. The cop too arrives there and with the help of the dhaba-owner tries to loot and kill Nawaz and his friend. Tables get turned soon after.
This short film is a masterclass in acting and direction. You see two acting masters at work. What a fine piece of work!
