A court of law is the second scariest place on earth after a hospital. A lawyer in his black coat is a vulture on prowl. I don't believe in cut and dry judgements on professions but always keep up my guard while dealing with them. Coming back to the series, legal dramas do not disappoint as a rule. You can always plod through them even if they are a bit sluggish. There is a simple reason for that. They provide you with the bizarre and the surreal and in a country as large as ours, you can easily find strange and interesting cases by dime a dozen.
Puneet Batra and Arunabh Kumar have written an honest script. Pavan Raj Malhotra delivers a smooth performance with casual abandon. Puneet Batra plays his understudy with conviction. But as the lead of the series, Ashish Verma fails miserably. He is a bad actor and has no screen presence. Dude should be behind a camera. He is embarrassing while emoting and eats up words and syllables while talking. His wooden expressions are big turnoff. With usual tropes and scenarios, the series is bearable, but that's about it.
