Costao Fernandez was a die-hard who served the Customs Department with distinction. The film is based upon a true story in which the Customs officer ended up killing Goa's CM, Churchill Alemao's brother during his pursuit of smuggled gold. Kishore has played the role of Alemao with quite some style. Nawaz is damn good as Costao, but with him there is a sense of repetition that mars the whole experience. Like he was Officer Khan in Kahani, he is Costao here. There is nothing new on offer. Even the film is poorly edited and directed, and lacks the tautness required to be effective. This is quite a shame because Costao had a story around which an epic could have been woven. There is much of neither Customs, nor Goa in here. Gagan Dev Riar who starred in Scam 2003 plays a fine role as CBI officer here.
