This is a film about the experiences of two boys in a reform school in Florida which was later closed down owing to complaints of abuse. It is based upon Colson Whitehead's novel. The film is shot from first person POV, and is frankly, so boring that I dozed off twice while watching it. BY what stretch is it nominated for Best Picture is anyone's guess. I can only consider as one of the many essential Woke entries - others being Sing Sing, Emilia Perez.
