Hercules Poirot is a man of principles. He would not ignore a crime or forgive a criminal. But he was a human with a beating heart cannot be denied. When a man with criminal antecedents is murdered on the Orient Express, the detective onboard sets out to identify the perpetrator. The case is solved after many twists and turns, but presents before Poirot a dilemma he had never confronted earlier. 

Branagh is the best Poirot I have come across thus far. Johny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Derek Jacobi, Penelope Cruz, William Dafoe and Judi Dench are also present in the ensemble cast. The film works because Agatha Christie's stories are timeless, Branagh maintains the tone and style and supporting cast delivers.
