A fly-on-the-wall records it all and tells the tale as it unfolded. That is the beauty of The Test. Dressing room is a vulnerable place for any test side, and reporting from the inside reveals so much about the sport and passage of play even without magnifying it.
Season 3 begins with WTC Final, and then moves onto Ashes. The drama around Lyon's injury and marvellous anchor-down, Carey's stumping of Bairstow, Cummins' leading from the front, Warner's doubts and Stokes' counter-attack- they are all there. It is a well-made cricket documentary which does not feel like one. I have a lot of time for this series.
