Devil Wears Prada - Too Stylish!

Miranda Priestly is Anna Wintour. Runway magazine is Vogue. The hairstyles might be a little different, but guess Christine Lagarde's mop was the inspiration behind Meryl Streep's.

Meryl plays a hard taskmaster of a boss as the boss of Runway, top fashion magazine. Emily Blunt is his first assistant, who hires Anne Hathaway as her second. Anne is told she has landed up with a job that millions of girls would kill for. Needless to say, Anne grows into the job and eventually outgrows it. Meryl displays her human side at some point, and Emily develops respect for Anne. Stanley Tucci and Simon Baker play useful cameos. A lot of style later and after telling us that 'this-is-it', the film ends on a pontificating note. Anne finds something meaningful to with her life. Meryl manages to stay on in the saddle and after getting over the disappointment of her exit, gives a great feedback on Anne. Devil Wears Prada is that kind of a film- shallow, but breezy, and cool!

Mery Streep was nominated in the Best Actress category at the Oscar's.
