Dying of the Light- Nicolas Cage's fading away

This is an unfortunate film which was disowned by the Director and actors after post-production,because it was taken away from them over creative differences. Not that it would have made any difference to the final outcome. Nicolas Cage is quite underwhelming as an ageing and terminally sick CIA agent, but wants a last shot at a target who had tortured him years back. The film has nothing to bind the viewers to it, and sadly Cage could not create any aura around him either. Irene Jacob does provide two minutes of sunshine, but thats it. One wishes she had a longer role than that and a deeper chemistry with Cage.
