The Tourist - An Underwhelming Chase

Johny Depp is a master of underplay. Angeline Jolie does not like to act. Rest of the cast has gone on a sleep fest. Shot at great locales in Europe, The Tourist is a story of a chase which fails to enthuse. Why the hell would you wanna make a film with such tepid chemistry and little fireworks. Donnersmarck might be have cracked the code with The Lives of Others (German) but here, he fails to impress, notwithstanding the film's commercial success. The film could have done with more than a kiss, and all dolled up Jolie. As for Depp, I have never understood his cinematic sensibilities.
