A pregnant couple has no reason to keep living where they presently do, that is, in Denver area, for the parents of the guy have decided to move to Belgium for two years. Feeling lonely and insecure, they visit various places across North America- Phoenix, Tuscon, Madison, Montreal, and finally Miami- but fail to zero-in on any location as the one where they should settle down. As a matter of last resort, the expecting mother takes her partner to her childhood home, locked and deserted. The feel of the house as well as the backside view take their breath away. The young couple is enticed to settle here and use the familiarity of the surroundings to raise their family.

Maya Rudolph and John Krasinski are in their elements as the wannabe parents. One can accuse them of being much too smug and self-aware, but then what do you do if you really are well-meaning and wronged people, and have a sense that you have been fuck-ups in the material world so far. The film has a very intimate voice that whispers to those whose consciousness transcends basic concerns and value morals in their lives.
