The year is 1673. Before he is coronated as the Chhatrapati, Shivaji wants to reconquer the Panhala fort which he had lost in 1660. Kondaji Farzand is entrusted to lead the charge. He selects 60 soldiers to take a fort that had a garrison Adil Shahi troops. This is the first of the eight Shivaji films that Digpal Lanjekar is in the process of making.
Chinmay Mandlekar as Shivaji has played his part. Mrinal Kulkarni as Au-Saheb is completely in her role. Other characters have all stepped it up in this old-school period film, which works on the back of good fight sequences and sensible editing.
