Heist, violence, revenge and closure - classic Guy Ritchie themes are all present. Gunshots, swearwords abound as well. Jason Statham is there in their fourth collaboration after Lock Stock, Snatch and Revolver, and is just as glum. But where is the trademark soundtrack? Where is the innate sado-masochism of Ritchie's oeuvre? Even the Cockney accent is dimmed. Despite the presence of Holt MacCallany, Andy Garcia, Scot Eastwood and Josh Harnett, this film does not provide the thrills of Rock N' Rolla and Snatch. This is good, engaging motion pictures, make no mistake, but I miss Cult Ritchie.
