Dibakar's steady hand is perfectly in control as the film begins. The first 20 minutes are the promise of things to come. Background score, pace, Parineeti's expressions and Arjun's goofiness- all seem wonderful. Then the promises dont get realised, and film falls by the wayside.
It doesnt get boring, but fails to soar. Dibakar is pulled down by the ordinariness of the script, and a very good opportunity is wasted. Arjun Kapoor gets too entangled within himself. Neena Gupta is sweet, but Raghubir Yadav is devastating. Parineeti is brilliant, and deserves better. I feel she is on the cusp. As for Arjun, poor lad, cant seem to every get it right.
Dibakar could have handled the film better, is all that can be said.
