One Night in Miami - When Four Icons Met, or Not

 ONE NIGHT IN MIAMI 2020

A fictionalized account of a Feb. 1964 meeting between Mohammad Ali (still Cassius Clay), Malcolm X of the Nation of Islam, great American football fullback Jim Brown and soul singer Sam Cooke, that supposedly took place on the night of Clay's great victory over Sonny Liston.

Malcolm X has Clay in his thralls, and is expounding the philosophy of Islam very forcefully. Jim is passive, Sam Cooke is least bothered. Malcolm is vehement, which puts Sam Cooke off. This is a good film - a study of how propaganda can work wonders.

Leslie Odom Jr was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as Sam Cooke. One Night in Miami is a damn good watch.
