This is a psy-sci-fi film , in which an astronaut( Brad Pitt) makes a journey to Neptune, via Moon and Mars, to meet his father (Tomee Lee Jones), who had rebelled against the SPACECOM. Jones was in a never-ending search for intelligent life.
Brad Pitt has underplayed to an extent that he has been dubbed as ' a marvel of nuanced feeling'. Jones is strong as usual. The strength of the film is not its science, but the eerie feeling of impending doom. Cinematography is good, but nothing extraordinary. This film deserves to be watched for the performances.
