 MANGO DREAMS 2016

Ram Gopal Bajaj plays an old man who reminisces about his pre- Partition past. He suffers from dementia. His son, played by Sameer Kochar, arrives from US to commit him to care. But Bajaj runs away from home, asks an autodriver to repay an old favour, and escapes from Ahmedabad to Jaipur to Amritsar to Pakistan.

It is the autodriver, Pankaj Tripathy, which makes the film bearable. Otherwise , there is the same old nostalgic crap about communal violence, humanity, Partition and what not. The film is elevated by Pankaj's presence,  but is ultimately let down by Aman ki Asha sentiment.
