Jisshu Sengupta gets stabbed in the first episode and dies soon after. But he looms large over the series. He was a successful lawyer, but is later revealed to be an abuser.
Kirti Kulhari is spot-on as a victim, an abused wife and a murder accused.
Pankaj Tripathy is Mr Perfect, Anupriya Goenka plays an able foil. Deepti Naval, Meeta Vashishth and Ashish Vidyarthi have also done god jobs. Pankaj's screen wife has a very catchy role.
The film does raise some uncomfortable questions, but resolves them in a woke manner. There is a lot that takes a usual predictable line, but that debate is for another day.
