Bandish Bandits 2020

Music is good, as any series based on the premise of classical vs pop should have. But its not earth shattering.
Naseeruddin plays Panditji, the patriarch, the head of a gharana, whose grandson, Ritwik Bhowmik, falls into love with Shreya Chaudhary, a popular pop artist. Rajesh Tailang and Sheeba Chaddha play parents to Ritwik, and are also musically inclined. Atul Kulkarni emerges to challenge Panditji, and his protege but ultimately bites the dust.
There is a lot of concocted drama which spoils the party, but there are also some genuine moments, esp when the elder actors are on screen. Bandits could have been a classic, but settles for being a watchable series.
