In this film based on actual events, Hugh Jackman plays a School Superintendent, who along with his deputy played by Allison Janney, brings about marked improvement in the performance of a Long Island School, but is later accused of embezzlement by the local school paper.
The story is fairly straightforward but it is Jackman's and Jenney's performances that lift the film. Ray Romano does well in a cameo.
