This miniseries explores the 51 day standoff between ATF, FBI and Branch Davidians in 1993.
The ATF attempt to enter the Mount Carmel Centre,WACO (Texas), but lose four men and kill six Davidians. The resulting standoff between FBI and David Koresh –led cult drags on for a long time before the final disaster.
Standoff-àTear gas-à Fire-àdeaths has long been the bane of FBI . Yet there was no fire management precautions taken. WACO was no different. 76 members of the cult, including 25 children, died in the raid. It was a very aggressive, over-the-top operation which could have been avoided.
Michael Shannon as the FBI negotiator, Taylor Kitsch as David K , Paul Sparks as Steve and July Garner as Michelle have done good work. The series exposes the excessively heavy handed tactics of the FBI.
