Neha Sharma looks and acts better than many established actresses. Akshay Oberoi is no pushover either. These two could have carried the series on their shoulders, but Piyush Mishra’s horrible hamming and humming kills the series. Even Kubra Sait, Dipak Tijori and Satyadeep Mishra have chipped in with decent work, but it is Piyush and his onscreen wife, Kitu Gidwani, who just take life out of the webseries.
These two bad performances apart, writing is extremely problematic and loose. There are too many subplots , and the legal parts are written extremely lazily. Capital punishment and Rape are not casual matters and any work of art based upon them has a lot of informative value or obfuscatory potential. Sadly, the series falls flat on that count.
The series is watchable only because of the presence of Neha Sharma. It is about time that Piyush Mishra gets his act together and improves upon his dialogue delivery. Most of the times, it seems like he is just reading his lines , even as words overlap over each other.
