INTERSTELLAR - Forget Physics & Photography,Even Acting is A-Class

INTERSTELLAR 2014

Its Physics and Photography apart, Interstellar is a great film purely on the basis of its acting performances. When there is so much interstellar physics to consume and camerawork to admire, it is difficult to keep a tab on the actors for their wonderfully natural work.

Matthew McConaughey is the most natural of actors, forever in search of truth. Anne Hathaway righty keeps it very understated. Michael Caine is the man for all seasons. Matt Damon plays a perfect villain, driven by quest for survival and plagued by limitation of resources. Jessica Chastain is that eager daughter who takes it upon herself to find her father, and carry forward his legacy. Casey Affleck is a perfect simpleton, who has learnt to live and die with dust and death.

For me , Interstellar is almost a perfect film, if its OST is also taken into account.

Is it the greatest science fiction film ever made? Or 2001 still takes the cake?
