Kill a dozen,score,hundred, thousand, million- who cares?
Who bothered in 1943,1947 or 1971? If it was not West Pakistan, even India would not have bothered !
This is how a Leftover would describe this film. They have their own demons to fight. Anyone tainted with even traces of liberalism or Marxism becomes incapable of looking at any work of art for what they are. Their political lenses never come off.
Extraction is a simple film with one word plot and one aim in mind. Pankaj Tripathy’s kid is to be extracted from Dhaka and Chris Helmworht and Randeep Hooda team up to spray bullets and bang platoons of soldiers in the capital of Bangladesh.
Is this film even a patch on Arnold’s Commando ? Is there any round character in the film or any layer to the story? Sadly, NO.
This is just an out and out action drama. Action does work, but the film is too long to sustain interest. Helmsworth does look like a sharp warrior, but he is no Arnold or Sly, or even Van Damme.Extraction is watchable but nothing more can be said in its favour.
