A thoroughly illogical and poorly made film is Khuddar.
Govinda as a cop looks like a joke. He
screams a lot, grapples with anger issues and has strange notions of duty . The heroine ,
Karishma Kapoor, runs around in skimpy clothes, but all that is to support
orphans, and later goes blind and homely. Strangely , the orphans also go
missing once they serve the purpose of giving her character certificate.
Shriram Lagoo is strangely subdued. Kadir Khan is out of
form. Shakti Kapoor is not as mean as he could be. This is the problem of
scripting and direction.The film is full of corny dialogues. Anu Malik’s music
is good.
Govinda once catches a flying pigeon and boasts that he
could count feathers of a flying bird.(Why catch it then ? ) The film turned
out to be disappointing, although I had better remembrances of it. Guess its
time’s doing.
