There are guns, ravines and khakis, light and dark. There are
dacoits, abuses and deaths. But the actors do not believe in their roles, lines
do not carry enough punch and bullets do not kill.
Such a nice backdrop and a power star cast get lost in the
ravines of Chambal because the plot does not make much sense. The story goes
nowhere, and there is no proper buildup. A pity, really, considering that Paan
Singh Tomar carried such weight.
How can a director waste Ashutosh Rana, Manoj Bajpayee and
Ranveer Shorey? How can one accept
Sushant Singh Rajput as a daku? And Bhumi Pednekar does not belong in Chambal!
What a shame, really!
