This Hotstar
feature is as looney as it gets. Inspired by Mahaut vs Isner Wimbldeon
marathon, this mockumentary focuses on two fictional tennis players who end up
playing a 7 day-5 setter first round Championships match. The last set is
delicately poised at 103-102 when both the players hit each others’ heads with
rackets and die on the court itself.
It takes
potshots at everything Wimbledon is known for. From Agassi’s wigs, to streakers
running on courts , Royal Family and wild cards, fifth set possibilities and
rain delays and almost everything related to tennis that come to your mind.
In the past few
years, roofs have made entry at the SW 19. The last set now has tiebreakers.
Wimbledon final this year, and Isner- Anderson semifinal last year had the
potential to reach lunatic proportions but mercifully , Gods intervened.
This is a must
watch 40 minute mockumentary for tennis fans.
