Khalid Aldawsari arrived in US in 2008 on a scholarship to
study Chemical engineering.This 20 year old Saudi national got admission in
Texas University.Even before coming to US ,he had harboured dreams of jihad.
In the next 2-3 years,he gained the required expertise with
chemicals,learnt English and collected the required items to prepare picric
acid bomb,the like of which was used in 7/7 London tube attacks.He had two out
of three key ingredients (sulphuric and nitric acid) in enough quantities ,as
well had a full set up of other paraphernalia.
Online sellers and shipment delivery alerted the FBI who
kept an eye of him electronically and physically .He had plans to kill George
W.Bush,and attack nuclear centres and public places.Thankfully Aldiwsary was
apprehended well in time and sent away for life.
