VARUN & KATRINA
Varun is a sweet,hardworking boy. He is successful,all his
films have done good business,and he seems like a good chap. He loves his
family a lot,and talks a lot about them. He has had a steady relationship and
is about to get hitched. Everything about this guy screams ‘simple’ and ‘everyman’.But
he is not a good conversationalist. It is boring to hear him even in a relaxed
atmosphere like Karan’s show. The guy lacks a genuine funny bone.He is a punter,all right,but is not jhakkas.
It is said Katrina is a very hardworking ,perfectionist actress.Like
she practises her dance steps till the
whole crew drops.She has aged,but charm has not left her.She is still honeydrops,and
the interview brings out the steel in her to the forefront as well.Here is a
fighter,a mature or matured woman who just wont give up . Katrina is not just
an eye candy ,for sure.She is a survivor.
But this episode fails to cause sparks as well,perhaps
because Varun is such a straight arrow and Katrina is tough enough to be her
grandma.Karan Johar is paly with the duo,but not excessively so.There is just
not fizz in this episode.
