Qarib qarib single 2017

Irrfan is at a stage in life where is completely in control
of his craft-confident,relaxed and willing to let his co-star flower in his
shade. There is no hurriedness,Irrfan doesn’t want to drive any point home .Despite playing a corny
forty-year old single who self-styles himself as an Urdu poet and has a lame line or a contrived joke for
every moment ,he comes across as an interesting man. They meet over a dating
site and then take off on a journey, ostensibly to meet his three ex-girlfriends
who he thinks, still miss him.The plot does enter an implausible territory now,but both PArvati and
Irrfan are so effortless that one doesn’t mind this suspension of disbelief.
Parvati has also given a very relatable and conventionally
cute performance. There are no frills,no over the top acting, just a simple
everywoman from the next door, trying to
eke out a lonely existence. This is not to say it’s a perfect film, but its very
watchable.
