Four Weddings And A Funeral-Hugh Grant At His Best

Four weddings and a funeral (1994)

Mike newell

A British romantic comedy which follows the romantic trials and tribulations of a commitment-phobic bachelor,Hugh Grant,as he,in tow with his group of friends, traverse various weddings and a funeral. The Brits sense of humour,as reflected in the opening wedding speech by Grant is irresistible.Andy Mcdowell plays his  love interest with aplomb.I found this to be a breezy film with just one  aim and that is  to please. The film was even nominated at the Oscars for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay. The film is eminently forgettable once it gets over, but has the ability to keep everyone hooked till the fun lasts. Its a quintessential British comedy with a lot of banter, wit and humour.Grant and mcdowell have given winsome performances.
