To some,ocean is their home.For others,it’s a form of
catharsis.It is love,livelihood and life itself for many.For milions like
us,it’s a a scary ,unmanageable,wild place,a deep unknown where we fear to
tread.Oceans ask questions off most,for
a chosen few they provide answers.
Fishpeople focuses on
six oceanfarers who have dedicated their lives to the sea, from surfers
and spearfishers to a long-distance swimmer, a former coal miner and a group of
at-risk kids on the streets of San Francisco.They share their journeys,views
about life and deep waters,and how oceans have given meaning to their lives.
There are some breathtaking shots and insights in the
documentary,but overall ,it cud have been a more engaging one.Fishpeople didn’t
quite meet my expectations.
