Realms have been written ,and what has not yet been said about
CR7 ? He divides public opinion like no other football player.But here is ,an
icon, a legend,fitter than ever and more popular than he ever was.
This is an old documentary,and not very revealing as such.One
came to know that he was named after his dad’s favourite US politician,Ronald
Regan,who was the President in 1985 when CR was born.The background was so
humble that they used to live in a tin shed which froze during colds,and water
seeped through its roof when it rained on the island of Madeira (Portugal).He
had a racing heart condition,meaning his heart rate was more than normal.They used
laser to cauterise the source of the problem when he was 14.
The documentary talks about how in 2003, Ronaldo ,while playing
for Sporting CP left the players of Man U mesmerised.Sporting won that match
3-1,and players egged Alex Fergueson to sign CR7.In 2006 World Cup
match,Ronaldo’s antics resulted in a red card for Wayne Rooney,and as he passed
CR by,the latter gave him a wink.This resulted in a huge outrage and reportedly
even resulted in dressing room friction,but CR braved on and stayed with Man U till
2009.
The documentary talks about CR’s love for good
life,cars,dedication towards family and philanthrophical activities.The
juggernaut is still rolling.CR7 has now left Real Madrid and joined Juventus
where he has started training.
This is a 58 minute documentary ,and doesn’t exactly put the
world on fire.
